Each tag features a unique QR code linked to your pet’s customizable digital profile through Tailr. If your pet becomes separated from you, anyone with a compatible smartphone can scan the QR code—without downloading the Tailr app—to access the information you have chosen to share.
Your Tailr profile can include important details such as contact information, veterinary records, medications, dietary needs, feeding routines, behavioral notes, training information, and special care instructions.
When your pet’s tag is scanned, Tailr can send you an instant notification to help facilitate a faster reunion.

How It Works
1. Select the Correct Tag Size
Choose your Slide-On Tag according to the width of your pet’s collar.
Unlike a hanging tag, collar width is especially important because the collar must pass through the openings in the Slide-On Tag.
2. Activate the Tailr Tag
After purchase, activate the unique QR code and connect it to your pet through Tailr.
Each Tailr tag is associated with an individual pet profile.
3. Create Your Pet’s Digital Profile
Tailr allows pet parents to organize and share important information such as:

- Owner contact information

4. Slide the Tag Onto the Collar
Feed a compatible collar through the Slide-On Tag.
Once installed, the tag sits directly against the collar instead of hanging below it.
5. Scan When Needed
If someone finds your pet, they can scan the QR code using a compatible smartphone.
The finder does not need to download the Tailr app to access the information you have chosen to make available.
6. Receive a Scan Alert
When your pet’s QR tag is scanned, Tailr can send you a notification associated with that scan, helping you respond quickly if your pet becomes lost.
Lost Pet Support
The Tailr Slide-On Tag provides digital identification beyond the limited information that fits on a traditional engraved pet tag.
If your pet becomes separated from you, a finder can scan the QR code and access the contact and care information you have chosen to share.
Tailr can also notify you when the tag is scanned.
Important
The Tailr Slide-On Tag is not a GPS tracking device.
It does not continuously transmit your pet’s location.
Location-related information is associated with QR-code scanning and available location data at the time of the interaction.
